Four ACED lab students traveled with Dr. Emery to the Cognitive Aging Conference in Atlanta, GA in April. Elizabeth Payment and Erica Camp presented a poster on Elizabeth's honors thesis, which examines age differences in social decision making. Heather Burkett and Simona Gizdarska presented a poster on their thesis work on Autobiographical Memory. In addition, Dr. Emery gave a talk titled "Age Differences in Positivity During Episodic Future Thought". This research found that "forgetting"...

Rebecca Daniel and Heather Burkett, graduate students in the ACED lab, presented their thesis research at the Annual North Carolina Cognition Conference at Duke University in March. Rebecca's thesis work examines whether spending time in a natural environment improves people's mood and thinking. Heather's thesis work examines what factors help older adults retrieve memories from their personal past.
